Malaysia - Perak (Sam Poh Thong Temple / J.J Cafe / Teluk Intan Leaning Tower)

17/7/2015

Few days before Raya, we had an impromptu random trip to Perak without proper planning.
It is fun to have an unplanned plan. Although sometimes shit could happen.
Thankfully the road to Perak was super smooth.
We departed from Melaka at 6am. Bloody kiasu-ness because we thought that the traffic is going to be extremely bad.

7am selfie

Arrived Perak about 10am.

Actually there's nothing much in Perak.
I have no idea why I agreed to go there during Raya -_____- *slap self 100 times*

Since there's nothing else to visit (because I've visited and covered almost all of the 'must visit' tourist attractions previously) therefore, it's time to do some meditation in the temple to wash away all sins.

hahaha.

1.   SAM POH THONG

Our first stop was Sam Poh Thong Temple.
It's an ordinary temple, nothing majestic about it.
However, there's a tortoise pond inside the temple.
*omggg exciteeed!!*

The compulsory tourist shot in front of the attraction site.
Meet Henry, my new friend.
Say Haiiii~

Operating hours schedule.

Pendekar Kura-kura.

Cucumbers for sale. RM 2 each.
To feed the little tortoises.

I love the view taken from this angle.

Another temple which is connected to Sam Poh Thong. Just few metres away.
This temple has monkeys instead! Wow....

Heart. Lock. Sealed.

2.   J.J CAFE

After being exposed to the crazy heat, all of us were too exhausted to make any further visits to other temples as planned. Instead, we hunt for a cold place for a drink and also to get free aircond!

Awww so sweet of him to smile when he noticed that I'm taking his picture.
Hehehe..  Thank you :)

Mango + Orange + Pineapple and Dragon fruit + Apple + Lemon at RM10 each.
Sedap oh!

After our tea time, we headed straight to our homestay which I booked earlier on via airbnb.
Airbnb provides various of cool places to stay with a price range from cheap to expensive depending on your budget and location.

I booked mine from Ronald Homestay Ipoh.
The owner is a friendly guy.

Our room for that night.

The bathroom.

The house of the room we're living in.

For descriptions, owner will normally state it in their homepage.
For example how many minimum nights you are required to stay, what are the do's and dont's and also they will list down the amenities.

The total price is RM69 per night including the service fee to Airbnb.

Overall I rate this place 4 out of 5.
*winks*

After putting our stuffs, we headed to Teluk Intan.
About an hour plus from Simpang Pulai.
Fuhhh!
The entire day was basically spent in the car.

Off to our next destination!

There's this Chee Cheong Fun that is super popular at Teluk Intan.
Look at the amount of people queuing.

We waited for almost an hour before we could make our order.
O_________O

Everyone are super crazy!
They bought minimum of 10 packets ler!
Some bought more than 50 packets once.
By the way you can't dine in there. It's a take away policy only.

Look at the amount of green chillies.

Chee Cheong Fun in the making

At first we wanted to buy only 5 packets but after we saw everyone bought more than 10 packets, we decided not to lose to them and our KIASU-NESS mode on lor.

HAHAAHAHAH! Typical chinese pattern :P
Die die tak mau kalah punya.

We bought about 14 packets I think.

Each packet cost RM4.50 leh! So expensive lor. Luckily it's delicious.

3.   TELUK INTAN LEANING TOWER

There's no need for you to travel all the way to Italy just to visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
You can find one in Teluk Intan.
More colorful compared to Pisa.

Lean On - Major Lazer

hahaha please focus on Andy's face. Epic!

Jumpshot.

Sigh. None of the guys can take my jumpshot. Fail lah you all.
EMOOOO!!!!

All of my jumpshot turned out to be retarded looking girl.

Peace yo!

xoxo

If you're wondering, the trip actually consisted 5 people.
Unfortunately there is this one particular species by the name of Pee Yin who is camera shy and tried all means to avoid camera/phone lenses.

-________-

Our one last stop was at some random hawker which sells fried kueh teow.

That's all for day one.

Here's a short clip which I tried to combine. First time ever editing video.
Couldn't find any proper apps / software yet.
However I found this great app whereby you don't have to install it in order to use it.

It's called Magisto.

That's all.

Toodles.

Make Up Tips For Brown Eye Girls

Proud to be Asian

Asian girls are gifted with a pair of beautiful brown colored eyes. Although sometimes I do wish I could have a pair of blue or green eyes because they look more chio.

Oh well, that is human nature. We tend to hope for something that we do not possess and we often neglected ourselves from appreciating what we already have.

Do not be upset if you're born with a brown colored eyes because there is always a good side in everything. The reason why asian ladies with brown colored eyes are lucky because they can play with various colors of makeup shades / eyeshadows. Brown is a neutral color which allows you to apply any eyeshadow make up collection of various colors on your lids without looking WEIRD!

See I told you! Super smexy

There's a strong valid reason for brown colored eyes to purchase the complete set of eyeshadow palette!
You can play make-over with your girl friends! How fun could that be?

To die for!

Other than that, brown colored eyes can benefit of pulling black or brown eyeliner with ease. For a dramatic intense effect, apply the black eyeliner and it can focus to others the beauty of your eyes.

I love how the Koreans do their eye make ups.

Meanwhile, ladies can always appear natural with a slight tint of brown eyeliner as well. Eyeliners are perfect for women who want to make their eyes look round and sexy any time of the day.

Another best make up tips to highlight your brown eyes is by mixing the light and dark colors. For example, try applying darker shade on your eyelids and a light tone make your eyes appear more enhanced.

Do make sure that you blend them well in order to avoid a makeup mishap. You would not want to look like a panda at the end of the day right?

Hopefully this tips are useful to some of you girls out there.

I ain't no make up guru but I hope you'll find at least a little bit extra information in this post.

Take me down to your paradise

The babe came down Melaka a month ago for a case and decided to have lunch with us.

We had a great talk about work, life and stuffs. Not to forget about daily hot gossips in town!
We had our lunch at Paddles & Beans.
Missing those good ol' days.

On the other hand, I would like to congratulate another friend of mine who has just recently joined the 'misery marriage group'.

The guys came Melaka for a short holiday.

We brought them around Melaka for makan-makan sampai perut meletup the following day.

The guests were in major trauma due to the non stop eating plan.
I swear to God I gained at least 2kg on that day!

Talking about food, lately I am having this super random cravings for food.
I'll be craving for dim sum at first and the next minute I am craving for frog porridge and then in the next minute I am craving for yu tiao!

What the hell is going on with me.
This is just like a pregnant lady symptom!

I blame the bestie for putting me in such a condition.
Sigh.

So here it goes. My random cravings which was partially satisfied.

Had all the above in a day.

Character Masks are so in-trend now.
I wanted to get The Face Shop character masks but unfortunately none was found back then (now they already have it while I blog this post).

Instead, I found similar ones from SNP. Although the one from The Face Shop are much more cute. Beggars can't be choosers right. I am fine with this anyway.

Got myself the Panda mask because I feel it is the cutest.

Panda gone wild! Shameless selfies ;)

-------

Dim Sum for lunch at the newly open high class food court in The Shore.

Claypot chicken rice.

8 plates of dimsum for RM50.
O_O

 When East meet West.

Ninja Joe burgers

Dinner at Daorae with the girls.
Overload until my tummy wanna burst.

Free sweets.
Wee~

Chicken burger from The Baboon House.

The waitress told me that no photos are allowed T_______T *heartbrokenintopieces*
Therefore I took only a few pictures inside.
Oh well... Can't do review on it.
However, the interior is superb classic.
Unfortunately it's a non-halal restaurant.
Their specialties involved the word called PORK.
heheheehhe...

My date for that day. GFFF!!!!!
