Thailand - Krabi Town @ Tiger Cave Temple

Day 1 Part 1
Date: 13 April 2013

It has been almost 2 weeks since I came back from my short getaway trip in Krabi Island.
Airasia was having a promo in the month of March. Without thinking any further, I told the boy that I wanted to go for a holiday so badly and he was having the same thought as me. Great mind thinks alike. Heh.

So we booked our flight tickets and it's quite cheap lor. Only for RM169 per person.
It was a 3 Days 2 Nights trip only.

We did not book any activities at all, assuming that we can just get a travel agency to arrange all of our activities once we reached there. Unfortunately, it was Songkran's Festival (water festival) for the Thai people. Hence, most of the activities were fully booked. Especially the Four Island Hopping and Phi Phi Island. FML x 10000000000000

The currency rate is about RM10.80-RM11.00 for 100 baht. The currency rate is quite bad nowadays. Few years back when I traveled to Thailand, the exchange rate was only about RM9 for 100 baht.

Anyway, the distance from LCCT to Krabi Airport is only about 1 hour. The time difference is also about an hour. Which means if it's 9am in Malaysia, then it would be 8am in Thailand.

The moment we arrived Krabi's Airport, we took our luggage and hunt for travel agency. Not to worry, they have few travel agency department in the Airport itself. Make sure you bargain with them or ask for special price.

Since most of the travel package such as Phi Phi Island and Four Island Hopping was fully booked, we took  Krabi City Tour package for our first day.
It is a sightseeing package where it brings you to:-

1. Tiger Cave Temple
2. Khao Khanab Nam
3. Nemo Farm
4. Krabi Seashell Fossil

The price was 2500 baht for 3 people. It's about RM85+ per person. The package is actually renting a van which takes you to all those four places/transportation charges.

We started our journey at 8.30am (Thailand time zone). I didn't get to change my clothes as we were unable to check in our hotel yet. Hence I'm wearing such 'berlapis-lapisan punya baju'. Who the hell wear such clothes in Krabi la? T_____T
Emo.

Our first stop was the Tiger Cave Temple.
There's no entrance fee charges. It's FOC.

First thing first, MAKAN!
I was so starving at that point of time and thank God they have a lot of stalls selling food early in the morning.
We had fried squids. I didn't know that's actually a squid. It cost 20 baht only! Mad cheap. You get a wholesome 'satu ekor sotong tau' for only RM2 like that. Gila la. I want to live in Thailand and eat seafood everyday until I die due to stroke.
The other thing we had was some sort like roti canai. It's 10 baht if I'm not mistaken. Quite nice too.

And some special drink that taste like a mixture of Milo, Horlicks and Coffee. 30 baht for it.
I love their packaging design. So cute.

The place was meant for photo taking only. Nothing much for you to do. Unless you are willing to climb all the way up to the temple. Where you will be surrounded by hundreds of monkeys. Or maybe thousands. O____O
Which make your trip more exciting, challenging and tiring. That's because the monkey will grab your things or steal your food/drinks. If that happens, just let it be. You wouldn't want to fight with a bunch of monkeys right? You're a human. Not monkeys. So act like one.

Tiger or Dog?

1,237 step to the peak of the mountain.

Just take a look at the steps.
I went about 100 steps and I gave up. My thighs hurt so badly. I told the boy that by climbing these staircase it is worst than training in the gym.

After climbing 5% of the staircase. I gave up.

A group of monkeys. One of the monkey stole something from a Thai dude.
A bottle of orange juice. lol

The more reason for me to retreat myself from going up.

Heart shape.
It reminds me of my Taiwan trip in Lavender Cottage. I miss that place s much.

Never seen this Green tea Cornetto in my hometown before. I love it so much.

Mark and Sarah's ice cream.

That's all for Part 1. Wait for my next post - Khao Khanab Nam
Till then. Bye

Hiya! Quick question that's totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My website looks weird when browsing from my iphone4. I'm trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to
fix this issue. If you have any suggestions, please share.
Thanks!

Have you ever considered about including
a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important
and everything. However think about if you added some great images or video clips
to give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is
excellent but with images and videos, this blog could certainly be one of the greatest in its field.
Good blog!
