Taiwan - Kaohsiung (Meinung Folk Village)

Day 5 Part 2 - (21 May 2012)

Next destination was Meinung Folk Village.
I still remembered this particular conversation that I had with Mark on that day.
It was still so fresh in my memories. Feels like only yesterday.

The tour guide was telling us that our next destination was Meinung.
As you all know, my chinese language/understanding really gone case.
So Meinung means Beauty Saloon which was actually pronounced as Mei Rong. If I'm not mistaken la.
So I didn't know that the place name was Meinung. I thought our tour guide meant Mei Rong.

I proudly told the boy that our next destination was to a beauty product place.
Expecting it to be a place that sells all the facial products, facial masks and etc.

Once we arrived, Mark told me 'This place doesn't seems like a beauty product outlet'.
I proudly replied him 'Maybe not here, the next destination kot'.

After we were about to depart, then only I saw a BIGASS poster saying 'Welcome to Meinung'
So that's where I finally realized that I've mistakenly given information to Mark.
HAHAHAHAHA!
Since then, he doesn't trust any translation that I translated to him.
T________________T

Can you feel how deep my hurt was?
Aih...
Nobody can understand it. sobs.

By the way, this place is quite nice too.

They will teach you how to make chinese tea here.

Unfortunately you need to pay because it was not included in the package.
So we decided to walk around instead.

Nothing much to talk about this place.
Let the pictures do the talking shall we :)

Waiting for lunch time :)

 The restaurant (located in Meinung)

 The interior

Our lunch!!

I realized that my photography skills towards food for the entire trip really sucks lor.
hahahahaha!
Can't blame me. The aunty and uncle all can't wait to eat as soon as possible.
So I can't be so selfish and made them wait for me to take a proper shot of every single food.
That's the reason why all the pictures very 'cincai' looking.

Anyway, Day 5 was the longest/craziest day ever that we had to spend for travelling purposes in the bus. We left Kaohsiung somewhere around 1pm in order to get to another state - Taidong.
Guess how long the journey took us?
FOUR HOURS!!
Yes four freaking hours!!!

Thank God we made a toilet/snack stop somewhere along the way.
Super Sweet is the name of the place.
We had 30 minutes break there. Luckily we had a stop in between.
I am going to be crazy if the journey was 4 hours straight without a break.

This Super Sweet is basically selling anything that deals with fruits.
It's like a fruit stall.

Neither Mark nor I were interested in buying their fruits.
However we found something else that are worth trying.
Their Special Mango Juice.
No idea what's the name is but there's a guy before us who ordered it, so we just pointed that thing to the lady and said that we want it too.
:)

TADDDAAA!!!!
Very very delicious!! About RM16 only.
Very very worth it!

You'll have some fresh mangoes, dragon fruits, bananas, and a scoop of ice cream as toppings.
The ice cream tasted like Honey Dew.
Oh boy! I miss this drink so much now T________T

The happy us :)

Next post would be Taidong - Chihpen Hot Spring.
Will update the next post in a very short moment.
:D

Heya! I understand this is sort of off-topic but I needed to
ask. Does managing a well-established website such as yours
take a large amount of work? I'm completely new to running a blog but I do write in my diary daily. I'd like
to start a blog so I can share my personal experience and views online.
Please let me know if you have any ideas or tips for new aspiring bloggers.
Thankyou!
