Thailand - Krabi Town @ Khao Khanab Nam

Day 1 Part 2
Date: 13 April 2013

We continued our journey to Khao Khanab Nam.
In order to get there, you need to get on a speedboat/boat/longtail boat.
Our trip was more to private style hence the price is slightly more expensive. You can choose to get a cheaper transportation by getting to the Chao Fa Pier where they provide transportation to Khao Khanab Nam. They will only depart if the boat is full.

As for us, we took a longtail boat that cost 800 baht just to get there (back and forth). It is better to travel in a group of large amount of people, because you can save a lot on transportation as they charge you not according per head, but according per trip.

If you are in Krabi town, you must not miss this hot spot.

 Love this picture so much.

On our way to our destination.

Such a lovely weather.

Reminds me of my Vietnam trip especially in Mekong Delta.
It has been more than half a year now. How time flies.

There is no such thing as a perfect love. That is why we got each other. lol

On our way to the Khao Khanab Nam Cave.

Posing with Thailand's flag.

Entrance fee for adult is 20 baht.

The shape of the cave resembles skeleton head.

Okay this photo reminds me of Gua Niah in Bintulu Sarawak.
hahahahaha!

Oh dear! My trip to Thailand surely reminds me of my good old days.
I can't wait to travel the world.
Someone sponsor me 100k can? Thank you in advance.

Back to my main topic.
More pictures below.

Lion King

And we bumped into Amirul bersama rakan-rakan bijaksana beliau.
Tolong pakai seluar boleh tak? Ni zaman apa sudah. hehe

So peaceful and so green.

Shoes shot. Wajib!

And that's the end of exploring the cave saga.
So we took our longtail boat to Kanabnam View Seafood & Fish Farm.

I wonder if people actually live in that place.

The path to the Fish Farm.

What a view!

I can't believe that I'm actually wearing a 'winter' clothes in Krabi. It's a place where you wear lesser clothes and not something that covers your entire body. WTF!
TT____TT

Here's the best part of the trip.
Love the photos so much!

Thanks to our tour guide who came up with such a brilliant idea and found the most suitable mangrove tree for us to camwhore.

Mara ke hadapan!

Arrival at the Fish Farm

 Time for lunch :)
All seafood. Each dish we ordered contains prawn. *loves*
Total price was 490 baht.

Photo with the tour guide. He can speak good english.
Which made the trip even more worth it.

Our next destination was Nemo Farm and Seashell Fossil.
Will blog about that in part 3.
As of now, I'll give a short overview about Krabi Town and also what to do in Krabi Town.

Overview

Krabi Town is the main travel hub of the area with an international airport 20 minutes from the centre of town. From Krabi, you can get to the beautiful beaches of Ao Nang and Klong Muang by road, and the local islands of Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, and Koh Jum as well as Phuket town by ferry. The nearest train station is Trang, which is a 2 hour mini-bus ride south.

The town itself is quite pleasant, with a good selection of centrally located hotels, guest houses, relaxed bars and restaurants to choose from. There is a great night market at the old Chao Fa Pier where you can get good Thai food cheaply.

Getting Around

For short trips around town, you can use the motorbike taxis from any street corner where you see them. They always wear a coloured vest with number on the back, and will run you almost anywhere for a pre-agreed price starting from 20 baht and higher.

If you are going to Ao Nang, you can get a song-tao from outside Vogue Department Store in the center of town. They run frequently and cheaply.

From Krabi town, mini-buses leave every hour for Koh Lanta via 2 short car ferry crossings. the trip takes around 2 hours, or longer if the ferries are busy during high season.

From the bus station, which is only a 5 or 10 minute ride from Krabi town, you can get buses to Suratthani (for Koh Samui) and Bangkok. Buses also run south to Trang and Hat Yai from where you can connect to the Malaysian border.

Things to do

1. Walking Street

This is a relatively new market in the centre of the town, just south of Vogue Department Store & KFC.
It only operates every Friday to Sunday evenings from 5pm until 10pm.

2. Hot Springs & Emerald Pool

Around 50km south of krabi town (towards Koh Lanta and Trang) you will find the hot springs near Klong Thom town. The trip takes around one hour by scooter or rented car. The hot pools of mineraly enriched water are a great place to relax, and the crystal waters of the stunning green coloured emerald pool are a cool place to swim.

3. Tiger Cave

(Refer to my previous post)

4. Kayaking

The whole Krabi coastal area is famous for it's limestone caves, rock formations and towering cliffs that rise vertically out of the sea. These "karsts" as they are known are accessible by sea kayak from many places around Krabi town and the Ao Nang area. You can organize a kayaking trip for a full or half day from any travel shop or from where you're staying.

(I'll blog about my kayak-ing post for Day 2) Make sure to read it okay.

Place to stay

There's a numerous choices for you to choose.
I'll just recommend some that are affordable for those who are having a budget trip.

They provide fan rooms from 200 to 300 baht per night.

2. Bai Fern Mansion Guest House

You really make it appear so easy together with your presentation but I to find this matter to be really something that I think I'd by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and very vast for me. I'm looking forward for your next put up,
I'll attempt to get the hold of it!

Alternatively than the usual large, bulky device with various parts that will have to be assembled,
then continuously altered to supply a greater level
of pressure, Bodylastics uses theory of elastic resistance, by which adaptable
elastic tubes related to surgical tubing generate resistance to
movement, thereby strengthening your muscle groups within the identical way that a weighted
pulley, barbell or benchpress would.
