Genting Highlands- Theme Park Hotel (formerly known as Hotel on the Park)

-12th August 2017-

We had a short trip up to Genting Highlands to celebrate Nicole's early birthday.
Little did we know, it was also the day where Genting held the Good Vibes Festival 2017.
The traffic was quite bad towards reaching the top but other than that it was quite okay.

The Hotel that we stayed was previously known as Hotel on the Park. The place is really damn awesome. You can choose a room for two, four or six. We took the sixers room.

The price per night was RM600. You might need to check out few other booking sites to scout for a good bargain.

Damn awesome right!

The Floor Map

The sixers consist of 3 queen size beds. Two on the bottom while one on the top.
Nicole & I slept on the top (bunk bed area).

Cutely decorated television!

Here's a video of the room which I found from their webpage.

The only cons that I dislike about this room is that, there's no changing room.
It's either you get changed in the bathroom or toilet. Either way, both rooms are super tiny.
It makes it difficult if you are changing into a long skirt or jeans. It might get wet in the process.

Before we started off with our 2D1N trip to Genting, we had our breakfast at Hoong Foong Dim Sum.The variety of dim sum there is crazy. I'm drooling just by looking at the photo now. Gosh!

Our RM100+ breakfast.
Okay the price is quite expensive here

After filling up our grumpy tummies, it was time to roll.
Before heading to Genting, we made a pit stop at the newly open Genting Premium Outlet.
The crowd was quite good. Unfortunately, nothing caught my attention.

Had our light lunch at George & Dragon Cafe, Genting Premium Outlet.
Total bill for 2 pizza, a plate of bangers and mash, fries and few drinks amounting close to RM200.

Last but not least, we went to Cafes Richard in Genting for dinner. Initial plan was to dine in Burgers & Lobsters, but the queue was damn crazy long. I think it will take us roughly 2 hours just to wait. Plus that was around 9pm already, yet the queue was super long.

So our second best option was Cafes Richard lor.
I think we did a good choice for dining in the latter one because :-

1) Price is way cheaper than Burgers & Lobsters
2) Don't need to wait like orang gila
3) Food taste damn good!
4) The ONE and ONLY branch in Malaysia besides France
5) And it's a fine dining concept leh!

Coffee in a wine glass for a change maybe?

There were four options to choose from starting from starters, main course and desserts.

Starters:-

1)Escargot
2) Pan-seared scallops
3) Classic French onion soup
4) Salad

Most of us opted for escargots and scallops. I personally chose scallops and the scallops come in a very generous size! Sedap betul sampai air liur meleleh makan.

Escargots a.k.a siput babi (nama tak glamour)

Scallops

For the main courses, we had one each.

Magret de Canard A L'Orange
Roasted French Duck with orange sauce served with potatoes gratin and brussels sprouts

Poulet Chasseur
Charboiled chicken with mushroom sauce served with green salad and pommes frites

Boeuf Bourguignon
Slow-cooked beef stew served with mashed potatoes and sauteed green beans

Saumon Roti
Fresh Norwegian Salmon, slow baked in the oven "en papillote" drizzled with lemon butter sauce and served with new potatoes and carrots.

All of us were having difficult time to finish our dessert.

Creme Brulee

 Poire Belle Helene
Poached pear with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce

French Chocolate Mousse

Happy 100th Birthday PRINCESS!
*giggles*
